Brazilian midfielder Marcus Wendel is likely to join Galatasaray from Zenit St. Petersburg.
Ufabet Sport report on Friday that Turkish giants Galatasaray are interest in signing Brazilian midfielder Marcus Wendel’s from Zenit St. Petersburg this summer in a deal expected to cost at least €16m.
Holding midfielder Wendel, 26, has been a consistent performer for Zenit since joining from Sporting Lisbon in the summer of 2020 and has been link with a move to Barcelona to strengthen their number six position, but the Blaugrana are now preoccupied with pursuing Athletic Bilbao’s Nico Williams and RB Leipzig’s Daniel Olmo.
The Catalan giants are also planning to sign Real Sociedad’s Spain midfielder Miguel Merino, so Wendel is only a back-up option.
